S\u00f8ren\u2019s father was a radio mechanic with his own radio shop in Hedensted. In the shop S\u00f8ren helped with cleaning of video machines, service visits to private customers, looking after the shop etc. Since childhood S\u00f8ren has always been interested in electronics, and therefore he had no doubt that that he wanted to have an education within electronics.
After the university job S\u00f8ren got a job as a Hardware Designer at Bang & Olufsen Medicom, where he developed and tested embedded electronics for medico products. Primarily injection products for medical treatment of patients with various diagnoses. When the opportunity arose for a job as an Electronics Engineer at TC Electronic, S\u00f8ren did not hesitate to apply back to the world of sound. At TC Electronic S\u00f8ren designed and tested hardware for guitar pedals.
